Expansion of Kwekerij Mostert

Kwekerij Mostert

Kwekerij Mostert is a potted plant nursery located in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel. The company is run by father Frits and his sons. Last year, they were given access to their neighbour's greenhouse. This was a former rose nursery. To meet the requirements of a potted plant nursery, some things had to be changed (and that’s a bit of an understatement). The greenhouse had a single screen system against the top of the truss. This was thoroughly renovated by PDI. A new installation against the bottom of the truss was then added.

Optimal light distribution

For optimum light distribution, the Svensson PAR Perfect system was used here. For light emission, the facade screens have also been renewed. The aluminium roller tubes have been reused, everything else has been newly fitted. To create two departments, a fixed wall of crystal-clear film was mounted. The ends of this wall are fitted with lifting shutters (for the roller tables) and wicket doors. The photos provide a nice impression of the metamorphosis this greenhouse has undergone.

Total transformation

Mostert nursery in Holland is a potted plants farm. This company is run by Father Frits Mostert and his sons. Last year they were given access to the neighbour's greenhouse, a former rose farm. For preparing this greenhouses for the cultivation of potted plants a huge amount of work has been done. The existing top-screen has been completely renovated. After that a brand new second screen has been fitted in.

Maximum spreading of light

For total control of light spreading the PAR Perfect system from Svensson has been installed. With this system it is possible to control the input of light between 20% up to 100%. And this with only two screens needed. For energy saving and light pollution all the side walls have been provided wiht roll screens. In the middle of the greenhouse a fixed wall, with transparant material, will divide the two compartments. On both ends of this wall PDI installed two lift hatch for the plant containers. The pictures will give a good impression of this transformation.
